“One of America’s Top 10 Bucket List Waterfront Races,” says Runners World Magazine.

The Health First Florida 1/2 Marathon begins in downtown Melbourne and traverses along scenic US1 and the Indian River offering great water views and two bridge crossings for half-marathoners.  The event has water stops each mile of the course and will feature at least 12 musical acts along the route with a post-race concert providing beer, snack and more to runners. 

Going into its 18th year, the Health First Florida Marathon Weekend is East Central Florida’s premiere distance event and one of the most environmentally sustainable races in the southeast.

DEFERRAL POLICY

Free deferrals until one month before the race and then $35 until three days before the race. No deferrals will be accepted after Wednesday, February 4th, 2026 @ 11:59pm. NO EXCEPTIONS. Please email support@thefloridamarathon.com if you would like to submit a deferral
